Whether you are an HR Manager, business owner, tradesman/woman, librarian, beekeeper, bus driver, engineer, accountant, lawyer, shopkeeper, nurse, vet, web-designer Chief Executive or cleaner, regardless of whether you're employed or self-employed - I ask you, "Why you are in the business you're in?"

...and please don't say 'for the money'.

There are many ways to earn your money.

Think about it for a moment.

It's an interesting question, isn't it?

Why do you do....what you do...for the business you do it for?

Take your time.

Seriously, don't rush that thought. It's the most important question you can ask yourself in life.

Why do I do....what I do?

Why do I work where I work........What is the point?

You see, unless you are absolutely crystal clear about the the reason you do the work you do (in other words you identify what the worthwhile, meaningful purpose of your work is) you will always feel like the work you do is just that - work.

Which is fine if you're happy with that. It probably means you've nailed this question.

However, if work feels like work...or worse, a grind, an uphill struggle, deflating, full of unwanted grief, I have news for you....it can feel better. Much better!

If you let out a stressful sigh at the start of the day rather than a contented one at the end of it, you might need to change something. If you do that for too many days in a row, it will adversely affect your health unless you do something about it.

Taking time to choose your line of work because you believe in its meaningful purpose is key.

If you choose to do work that feels worthwhile to you can you truly give yourself to your work and - quite often - not feel like you're working at all.

Sounds to good to be true, doesn't it?

Take 18 minutes this week to watch this - it has the power to change your life for the better.
